Navigating A True Course
Consistent with its intention to put Spirit first, our Center continues to navigate a true course toward renewal, rejuvenation and growth.
As the summer warms and ripens, our Center continues to engage a variety of speakers to share the fruit of their spiritual insight and wisdom with us. Please help us extend a warm welcome to our newest presenters, Karie Hillery and friends from Santa Cruz, Rev. Linda Reppond of Golden Colorado, and Rev. Harriet Topczewski from Fremont Center for Spiritual Living. Students in the “New Earth” class are moving through the book chapters and the life-altering practices introduced through the class curriculum. Rev. Carolyn Douglas will present another Hour of Power workshop in August - the last scheduled workshop for the summer. In August, we will present the monthly Spiritual Cinema outdoors, extending the invitation to everyone in the neighborhood to bring their lawn chairs, blankets, and appetites, and join us for an All American supper while we watch the highly acclaimed film, Avatar.
The Center’s new sign at the front of the building was completed and installed since our last newsletter, and it looks great. Thank you, Market Share! Our landlords have remodeled the two bathrooms at the Center, installing new fixtures, paint, and beautiful tile flooring in each restroom. The landscape project stalled a bit with the injury/convalescence of one of the Landscape Team members, but plans will soon be back on track to complete the project, and your participation invited through donations for specific landscape elements, including plants, rocks, and materials. Also welcome is the donation of your time and energy for landscape cleanup and “spring cleaning” days at the Center to be scheduled during these next two months.
Please join us on Sundays and meet our guest speakers, or come to one of our special events and bring a friend. We would love to see you, no matter how long you’ve been away.
